Among fans of navigation software solutions, Waze is quite close to the top of the rankings, but the application is far from perfect. Waze is an application owned by Google, just like Google Maps. Although the two have quite a few features in common, there are still significant differences between them. Through various updates, some functions migrate from one place to another, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. While most users use Waze because it comes bundled with real-time reports from other traffic participants, on the navigation side, there may be better solutions. It depends on where you live on the world map, but maybe you are more satisfied with Google Maps, Apple Maps or Here WeGo (e.g Here Maps). To cope better with the competition, however, in the beta version, Waze has just acquired a long-awaited feature. It is not very clear when this feature will reach all users, but it will make your life significantly easier, especially if you often happen to walk on new streets or highways. Basically, if you have to get off the highway, one kilometer from the maneuver, you will receive a notification about the right lane you should be on. In the city, the distance in question is 500 meters for receiving warnings. The same option helps you when you approach a roundabout, and you're not sure which direction to go next. Basically, the new function is beneficial especially in the case of completely new routes to which you are exposed. The feature is already available to all Waze beta users, but I'm not sure if it works the same in every corner of the globe. Regarding the implementation of this feature to assist in changing the lanes in the final version of Waze, which each of us has installed, it may take a few more days or a few weeks.
